Cycle for Old Growth Forests (COGF) is a 2,500km fundraising bike ride from Brisbane to Melbourne via the old growth forests at Goolengook in East Gippsland. The focus of the cycle is two fold:
![]() |
To raise awareness with the broader community on the importance of Australia's last 5% of old growth forest. |
![]() |
Keep pressure on government bodies to preserve ALL areas of unprotected old growth forest. |
![]() |
COGF welcomes interested cyclists to join our mission at any time. This could
either be for a 100 meter bike ride through a town on our route or, for those
with a sense of adventure, for any part of the remaining journey into Melbourne.
If you want to join us, email or phone to find out our exact itinerary because it changes with the needs of our campaign.
Check out the latest update to see where we've
been and what we've been doing.
We welcome your thoughts and ideas and you can contact the cyclists on mobile phone or email.

If you thinking of taking the time to drop COGF an email or give us a call, how about sending a letter to a government body or newspaper group stating the importance of old growth forest. Use the web addresses on the links page to help you research forest issues.
