Canc3: Winter 2003

Well, 1st there was Canc, then there was Canc2, and now it only stands to reason that there will be a Canc3! Canc3 will complete the Canc journey around Australia, back to it's origins. It will probably head out from Perth, across the Nullarbor to either Melbourne or Sydney, going via a selection of mine sites, proposed mine sites, proposed waste dump sites, testing sites, and communities affected by these. People need to know what is going on, and for some reason, government and industry don't seem to be forthcoming with the information!

Canc3 needs YOU, and your expertise. Canc3 will probably head across the continent in winter, 2003 (the best time for the surface winds). Even if you can't actually ride (and almost everybody could), your help and support could be vital in either pre-ride organisation or ride support. We'll be looking for skills in media, fundraising, cycling, budgeting, etc etc etc. Current contact is Jonas at jonaslemmon@hotmail.com.

Don't underestimate the strength of this experience - we are all changed in some way by the things we do, and to get the opportunity to develop together, as a group, and watch yourselves grow together, is an amazing and valuable experience. You will be part of an ongoing community of strong, amazing people, both during and after Canc3.
